Journey of Objects (“Journey of Objects”, “We”, “Our”) is the digital arm of Object, a narrative journalism magazine focused on fashion, culture, and society. We offer retail experience showcasing Indian designers and artisans from deep inside India's craft belt. Journey of Object is managing and operating the website www.journeyofobjects.com (our "Site" or "Sites") through which it inter alia, offers facility for online sale and purchase of a diverse range of Products including Fashion, Clothing, Home Apparels, Accessories , Home Decor and other Products listed on the Platforms from time to time (“Product”) to the users of the Platforms  (“User” or “Users” or “you” or “your”).

Journey Of Objects provide services in accordance with the following Terms of Use & Service, and any other rules posted on our Site (collectively, the "TOS"). By placing an order with www.journeyofobjects.com. you will be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

Creating an account: By providing the relevant information for the creation of your account on Journey of objects and after filling in the necessary details as may be required at the time of your registration. Following this, an account will be created for you.

You may register on Journey of Object by signing up by entering First Name, Last Name, Email Id and Password, and you will be eligible to further access and avail the Services after successful signup. For placing an order, you should login to your account by completing the successful entering your Email Id and password.

You are solely authorized to operate the account created by you. Consequently, it is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of the log in credentials of your account on the Site and for restricting access to your computer/mobile/other similar devices to prevent unauthorized access to your account. You shall remain solely liable for all the actions undertaken through your account.

You will: (a) immediately inform us of any unauthorized use of the account or any other security breach; and (b) ensure that you log out of your account at the end of each session. We, our employees, agents, directors, and officers will not be liable for any loss or direct or indirect damage arising from your failure to comply with these TOS. MODE OF PAYMENTS

All transactions on our Site are conducted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless explicitly stated otherwise. Payments for the products available on the Site may be made in the following ways:

(a) Payments can be made by Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking, Credit Notes.

(b) Credit card, Debit Card and Net Banking payment options are instant payment options and recommended to ensure faster processing of your order.

(c) Cash On Delivery option is currently not available.

DELIVERY

We endeavour but do not guarantee to deliver the Product to User within the timeline provided while accepting an order. Delivery of a product may be delayed due to many reasons including:

(a) Bad weather

(b) Flight delay

(c) Political disruptions

(d) Other unforeseen circumstances

(e) Production issues

(f) Operational/logistics issues

The Company shall not be held liable for any delay due to unforeseen circumstances like the ones as suggested above and you will not be entitled to any damages or monetary compensation on account of delays.

In the event of any delay of the product is expected, we may, at Our sole discretion, intimate the User who may have purchased the same, regarding such delay.

In case a customer purchases multiple Product in one order, we may deliver the same together. However, this may not always be possible and shall be subject to availability of stock. If the goods are to be delivered in instalments, each delivery will constitute a separate contract. You may not treat the contract (as a whole) as repudiated if we fail to deliver any one or more of the instalments or if you have a claim in respect of any one or more of the instalments.

If you are unavailable at a certain date, you must indicate the same and any preference on email/phone to our customer care team to ensure smooth product delivery. Once out for delivery, it will be attempted for a maximum of 3 times in India as well as International which the order may be subject to cancellation except in cases where the customer requests for the item to be delivered and in the case if the customer still doesn’t accept the order then in that case any logistic cost made for the delivery will be deducted from the amount and rest amount will be refunded in the form of Credit Notes.

If you won't be available on a specific date, please notify our customer care team via email or phone with your preference date to facilitate smooth product delivery. Deliveries will be attempted up to three times both in India and Internationally after that the order may be subject to cancellation and the amount will be refunded in form of Credit Note. In cases where the customer requests re-delivery and still doesn't accept the order, any incurred logistic costs will be deducted from the refund amount, with the remainder amount refunded as Credit Notes.

Further, we may at times be unable to deliver confirmed order(s) to You and the reason for the same could be inclusive of but not limited to the following:

(a) unavailability of the relevant product;

(b) failure of the concerned manufacturer/supplier/designer/importer to deliver the relevant product to Us;

(c) poor/improper/defective quality of the relevant product ascertained through our quality audit process; and

(d) inaccuracies or errors in product or pricing information.

In the event of any circumstance(s) as aforementioned; You shall not be entitled to any damages or monetary compensation.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

You are hereby obligated to provide supplementary documentation to DHL/UPS upon the receipt of your order, the specific prerequisites for which are contingent upon the jurisdiction or region. As the recipient, you bear the responsibility for all import duties, customs duties, and local sales taxes imposed by the country in which you reside. These requirements may be subject to periodic revisions.

Import Regulations:

The recipient shall assume the role of importer and must adhere to all pertinent laws and regulations of the destination country. Delays in customs clearance can impact the original delivery schedule.

Note: Certain customs offices in specific countries or regions may necessitate the importer to furnish identification, such as a passport or Tax ID, prior to releasing a shipment.

LIMITED LICENSE

Journey of Objects grants you limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access, and make personal and non-commercial use of the Site. All rights not expressly granted to you in these TOS, are reserved and retained by the Site and its affiliates exclusively.

Journey of Objects reserves the right, at any time, without notice, and at its sole discretion, to terminate your license to use the Site and to block and prevent your future access to the Site.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Your use of the Site and its contents grants no rights to you in relation to any copyright, designs, trademarks and all other intellectual property and material rights relating to the Content (as described in the Content section below), including Journey of Objects Software and all HTML and other code contained in this Site. We are not responsible for losses not caused by our breach or negligence, indirect losses which are a side effect of the main loss or damage, and which are not reasonably foreseeable by you and us (for example, loss of profits or loss of opportunity, etc.).

We are also not responsible for failure to meet any of our obligations under the TOS where such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control.

INDEMNIFICATION

At our request, you agree to compensate us fully, defend us, and hold Journey of Objects, its officers, directors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and suppliers harmless immediately on demand, from and against all liabilities, claims, expenses, damages and losses, including legal fees, arising from any breach of the TOS by you, including the use by any other persons accessing this Site using your Internet account caused by your action or inaction.

OUR RELATIONSHIP

In case of the emergence of an event, which is beyond reasonable control or which could not have been foreseen under any circumstances, such as storms, tsunami, fire, floods, earthquake, outbreak of any contagious diseases, or any other acts of God or any governmental body act or industrial dispute(s), strikes, labour unrest, civil commotion, riots, terrorist attack, war, poor environment/weather conditions, mechanical break-down, obstruction of any public or private road/highway, etc., We will not be held liable for any loss or failure to perform any obligation under these Terms.

WAIVER

No provision in these TOS will be deemed waived and no breach excused, unless such waiver or consent is in writing and signed by us. Any consent by us to, or waiver of your breach, whether expressed or implied, will not constitute consent to, waiver of, or excuse for any other different or subsequent breach.

SEVERABILITY
